And there just hasn&#39;t been near the laundry to do in the first place, so it hasn&#39;t been too difficult to keep up on it. I DO let the kids get their own clothes out of the bins, but I try to have a big kid down there when they do it. As my soldier/son said, they can make a mess, but at least it is somewhat contained :) <br />2busyannie: That is EXACTLY what happens to me. I just get so unhappy and tired with the messes that I just avoid them. Do you give your kids access to the bins, or do you dole out clothes daily? <br /><br />My kids have dressers but they are always messy. I can&#39;t stand messy drawers. They each have a plastic bin on top of their dresser where I put their clean clothes. Whenever I am doing laundry, if a child&#39;s bin is not empty, then his/her dirty clothes do not get washed because I would have no place to put them once they are clean. This system is kind of working, when a child&#39;s clean bin and dirty bin are both full and he/she has run out of underwear...<br /><br />I like your system ALOT. Looks great. Didn&#39;t it feel good when you were done?<br /><br />I have a junky looking, enclosed porch that we use as a storage room and I have to reorganize/dejunk it at least every 4-6 weeks or so. It seems to be the catch all and I usually end up with several bags of stuff to eliminate (outgrown clothes from the youngest boy and girl mostly) each time. It amazes me how quickly things accumulate, even when I&#39;m making a VERY conscious effort not to bring more stuff into the house.<br /><br />I think we need to be ruthless when it comes to decluttering the clothes for our kids.
